Deck Tiles -- A Quick and Easy Way to Transform Your Patio

Are you growing tired of looking at your cracked, run-down patio?  You know it needs to be fixed, but just can't afford to replace it (like most of us!). If so, then deck tiles may be the perfect solution.

Deck tiles are interlocking tiles that you can install right over an existing patio, deck, or balcony.  They usually come in 12-inch squares and are available in a variety of designs and wood types.  They are so easy to install, that the average homeowner can usually complete the task in one day.  Very few tools are needed--just a rubber mallot and a circular saw (to cut to shape if needed).

An important feature to look for is plastic feet on the underside of the tiles.  This keeps the tile slightly elavated above the base surface so that water can drain through, preventing the potential for rot.  Choose a durable material such as teak, shorea, or ipe wood.  These woods are quite dense and can withstand high moisture and foot traffic.

Deck tiles usually range from $5 to $12 per square foot, which is a small fraction of the cost of tearing out and replacing a patio.  With this great product, you can treat yourself to a whole new patio look for pennies on the dollar!
