All-Weather Wicker Outdoor Furniture is Gaining in Popularity
Wicker has always been a popular choice in outdoor furniture. The biggest problem with traditional, natural-fiber wicker is its susceptibility to rot and splintering. As with most things in this world, modern technology has solved that issue -- enter all-weather wicker!
Simply put, all-weather wicker outdoor furniture is comprised of long strands of plastic or PVC that is woven over metal frames. This new-age wicker is totally waterproof and UV resistant, so it will not rot, splinter, or fade very easily. Many of the all-weather wicker furniture is designed in a straight-lined modern style - a popular trend in today's market. Deep seating sofas, club chairs and sectionals are prevalent.
This new wicker requires little maintenance, but to extend its life, I recommend applying a vinyl protectant such as Amour-all to keep the wicker looking new.
